These Forums are a place for Sony customers to ask the community questions, discuss Sony products, seek advice and generally help each other out.  

Collectively, the Forum and its members has vast knowledge and first-hand experience of Sony products and services.  It is very likely that your question has either been asked before, or can be answered by other members of the community.

Before asking a question, try using the handy search bar in the top middle of the homepage. You can search by keyword or full text.  If the search comes up blank, you can then start a new thread by clicking on ‘Create new topic’ and open up your question to other members of the community.

When asking a question, please give as much detail as possible; include model number, measures already taken, any changes to the original operating system/firmware and anything else you may think is relevant.

If your question receives a helpful reply, please take a second to mark the post accordingly, as it helps others to identify correct answers and will hopefully encourage more people to join in.

While looking around the Forum, you may notice that some of the more established, experience and active members of the community have the title of 'Expert'.  These ‘Experts’ are completely independent from Sony, but take the time to share their excellent product knowledge and experience with other Forum users and provide Sony with an invaluable point of contact within the community.

From time to time my Sony colleagues may need to post important announcements, drop into a discussion or provide the occasional answer. If they do, it will very much be the exception to the rule and often in their own time  To this end, you should not expect Sony member of staff to answer your question here, on the Forum.

If you would like to discuss something with Sony directly, it would be better to click on the ‘Support’ tab at the top of this page, and then click on ‘Contact Us’ to obtain contact details of the Customer Support team for your product.  

Finally, be on the look-out for intervention from our Forum Moderators, who help moderate your comments and make sure the forum remains a friendly and helpful community.
