IP67 waterproof and dustproof

Built using a variety of waterproof and dustproof components, including a USB Type-C® port which is waterproof even without a sealing cap, and a seamless aluminium body. Our SL-M series can be immersed in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes and is completely dustproof too. That's total protection for storing data in all conditions and environments.

Ultra strong in seamless aluminium 

An innovative one-piece aluminium body with omni-directional shockproof construction enables these ultra tough drives to withstand drops of up to 3 metres, pressure of up to 6000kgf and bending of 2000kgf. This gives you the toughness you need while travelling or on photo shoots.

Wave surface with easy-to-see LED indicator

A durable wave surface ensures a secure slip-free grip while carrying and handling cables, resists fingerprints and makes the drive easy to find by touch when searching for it in your bag. The LED indicator has been thoughtfully placed so that it’s easy to see from the top or the front, allowing you to quickly check access status. 

Easy labelling and identification

Supplied with two rubber bands and a sticker sheet, SL-M drives make it easy to label drives and identify stored content. This is very useful when using multiple drives. 

File Rescue

Sometimes things go wrong and you accidentally delete files and photos. Memory Card File Rescue app is a powerful and easy-to-use tool that recovers data. Available as a free download for Sony External SSD SL-M series customers.
