How to format the memory card in the camera.

    WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Formatting erases all the data saved on the memory card. Make sure you have backed up any pictures or video to your computer before following the steps below.

    1. Turn on the camera.
    2. Press the NEXT button to display SETUP.
    3. For HDR-AS100V only : Press the NEXT button to display CONFG, then press the ENTER button.
    4. Press the ENTER button.
    5. Press the NEXT button to select FORMAT.
    6. Press the ENTER button.
    7. Press the ENTER button again to display SURE? and OK.
    8. Press the ENTER button to start formatting the card.
    NOTE: The LCD displays DONE when formatting is complete.
