Where can I find SSID and password for my camera to connect Wi-Fi with a Smartphone?

    Find the sticker
    You can find the SSID and password of the camera printed on a sticker on to the English Operating Guide provided with the camera (for HDR-AS models) or is stuck on the inside of the camera's battery cover (for DSC-X models).

    Use a computer
    If you can't find the sticker, you can also get the SSID and password by following these steps:
    Connect the camera to a computer using the USB cable and turn on the power.
    The next steps will vary depending on your operating system (OS). Use the instructions for your computer's OS.

    Windows® operating system:

    Click the Start button, and then click Computer.
    In the Computer window, click PMHOME.
    Next, click INFO folder and then click WIFI_INF.TXT.
    You will now see the SSID and Password of your camera.

    Apple® Mac OS® operating system:

    Click on Go and then click Computer.
    In the Computer window, click PMHOME.
    Next, click INFO folder and then click WIFI_INF.TXT
    You will now see the SSID and Password of your camera.
