How can I import movies recorded in XAVC format to a Mac computer?

    Transferring video files recorded in XAVC format to a Mac computer is similar to using a Windows computer. Follow the steps below: 

    1. Copy the video files from your Sony camera's memory card to Mac storage.
    2. Download the Catalyst Browse or Catalyst Prepare standalone software (Find the Mac version of Catalyst Browse/Catalyst Prepare here).
      Choose “MacOS | Version 2023.1” (as of May 2023).
    3. Open the Catalyst Browse/Catalyst Prepare software and locate the folder into which you copied the files from the memory card.
    4. To start reviewing and editing your footage, double-click a video file in the open folder.
