The SteadyShot function does not work.

The SteadyShot function may not work properly when the power has just been turned on, right after you point the camera towards a subject, or when the shutter button has been pressed all the way down without stopping halfway. Follow these steps below for further troubleshooting:

    1. Check that the SteadyShot function is set to On.
Select MENUimage (Camera Settings) – SteadyShot.

    2. Check the version of your camera's firmware. Updating your camera's firmware will improve the stability of the SteadyShot function.
If the version of your camera's firmware is "1.00", update the firmware.

To find out which firmware version you have on your camera:
      Select MENUimage (Setup) – Version.

To allow the camera to obtain focal length information, set SteadyShot Adjust. and SteadyS. Focal Len..

    • Check that the SteadyShot Adjust. is set to Manual:
Select MENUimage (Camera Settings) – SteadyShot SettingsSteadyShot Adjust.Manual.

    • Set the focal length of your lens with SteadyS. Focal Len.:

NOTE: You can select a focal length ranging from 8 mm to 1000 mm.

IMPORTANT: When using lenses or mount adaptors manufactured by companies other than Sony, optimal performance of the SteadyShot function is not guaranteed.
