Demand5 (Channel5) service interruption on certain older devices, as of 7 May 2015

On the 7th of May 2015, Demand 5 - the Video on demand service from Channel 5 - will be discontinued on older devices (2010 and 2011) using the legacy version of their application.

Devices from 2012 and later on, which use a newer version of the app, won't be affected by this change.

This change is based on a decision by Channel 5 as part of their commitment to wanting to offer users across all platforms the best possible viewing experience, and by no means implies a malfunction from the affected Sony devices.

  • 2010 and 2011 TVs
  • 2010 and 2011 Blu-ray Disc players & BDV - Home Theatre Systems

However, the Demand 5 service remains available on a wide range of other devices, such as computers, smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs from 2012 and onwards, Set-top boxes and the Playstation 3 and 4 game consoles. So, there are still plenty of ways for you to enjoy Channel 5 content.
