Login issues: I can't access my account

If you cannot access your account, please make sure that

  • you've entered your e-mail address correctly
  • if your e-mail address is correct and you can't remember your password, please use the Forgot your password function. You will need to answer your security question and give your date of birth in order to reset your password.

 

What if I've forgotten my security question?

There are 2 options if you're locked out of your account:

  1. Contact us! Our contact centre agents can unlock your account. In the future we will implement a different security system to avoid this.
  2. Create a new account with a different e-mail address.

 

My account is locked

If you try and fail many login attempts, your account will be locked for 120 minutes.
After that set period of time, you can try again.  

  • Make sure the Caps Lock or Num Lock on your keyboard are not interfering with the way you are entering your password.
  • You can try to reset your password after 120 minutes using the Forgot your password feature.

I want to update my account

To update your e-mail or address:

  1. Login to your My Sony account
  2. Go to the My account section
  3. Proceed with updating the fields concerned

 

Can I change my password?

To change your password, please:

  1. Login to your My Sony account
  2. Go to the My account section
  3. Scroll down until you find the Change my password section
  4. Enter your old and new passwords
  5. Confirm by clicking on Change my password

 

I want to delete my account

We would be sorry to see you go, but you can delete your account by following these steps:

  1. Login to your My Sony account
  2. Click on account information 
  3. Scroll down all the way to the bottom and select Remove account

What if I can't find the product I want to register?

  1. First of all, please make sure the product you want to register is a Sony Electronic product. If you have a Sony Mobile device (Xperia) or a Sony professional product, you should visit one of the following pages:
  2. If you're certain your product is a Sony Electronics product, and you've manually typed the product name but cannot find it, please try to find it using the drop-down menu.
  3. If the first two options do not help, your product might be missing in our database. Please contact us to confirm this.

 

How can I update or remove a product?

In order to update or remove a product from your account, please proceed as follows:

  1. Login to your My Sony account
  2. Go to My products and select the related product
  3. Press 'Change my product details' or 'Remove the product'

 

I cannot register because the site doesn't accept my serial number

Luckily, the serial number is not a mandatory field, so you can proceed without it.

How can I check if my product registration was successful?

  1. Go to the "My products" tab
  2. Verify if the product is available or not.
  3. If it is not available or hasn't been updated, please try to register the product or update again. If you still cannot manage to register your product, please contact us.
