Using noise cancellation without playing music

Did you know you can use the noise cancellation (NC) function without playing back music? It can be a handy feature to block out background sounds in noisy places, such as on a train or a plane.

You can change the "Auto-off" setting of the WH-1000XM6/WF-1000XM5 with the Sound Connect app. This setting allows you to use your headphones without keeping them connected to an external device and without playing music.

For other models, the [Auto Power Mode] will be activated if no music is played back after five minutes. To avoid this, use the bundled stereo cable that came with your product. You can keep it connected to a playback device such as a mobile phone or an MP3 Player without actually playing music. It will prevent the headphones from going into [Auto Power Mode].

That way, you can use the NC function independently and enjoy a moment of relaxing quiet.
