Your TV will automatically turn on at a specific time using the On timer function. Waking up with your favourite morning news program is one example of the convenient use of this function. The On timer function also enables you to turn off the TV automatically after a certain duration of time, so you can leave your home without turning off the TV.
We recommend you use the Screen reader function to set up the On timer function.
Setting up the On timer
- Press the HOME button on the TV remote control.
- Select Timers, then press the Enter button.
- Press and hold the Up arrow button for about three seconds, press and hold the Right arrow button for about two seconds, leading the focus to the Settings icon. Then press the Left arrow button once to select the Timers icon.
- When you hear Timers, press the Enter button.
- The Timers menu has a total of seven setting items: On timer/Timer, Day, Time, Duration, Inputs, Channel, and Volume setup/TV on volume.
- You can only make changes to Day, Time, Duration, Inputs, Channel, and Volume setup/TV on volume if you turn on the On timer/Timer setting.
On timer / Timer
- Then when you hear On Timer or Timer, press the Enter button.
- Press Enter button again to set the Timer on. When the Timer is on, you will hear On, and when it is off, you will hear Off.
Day
- Press the Down arrow button, and when you hear Day, press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons to select your preferred choice and press the Enter button.
Time
- Press the Down arrow button, and when you hear the time, press the Enter button.
- Select the time to turn on your TV using the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons from 1 to 12 and press the Right arrow button.
- If your clock setting is set to 24-hour format, you can choose the hours between 1 to 23.
- In the same way, select the minutes using the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons from 00 to 59 and press the Right arrow button, then select AM or PM using the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons and press the Right arrow button.
- When you hear OK, press the Enter button, and you will hear the time you set up.
Duration
- Press the Down arrow button, and when you hear Duration, press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons to select your preferred hours keeping your TV on from 1h to 23h and press the Enter button.
Inputs
- Press the Down arrow button, and when you hear Inputs, press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons to select your preferred item from the available choices among broadcasting types and external inputs, and then press the Enter button.
Channel
When your choice of Inputs is a broadcast, select the Channel as well.
- Press the Down arrow button, and when you hear Channel, press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow and Up arrow buttons to select your preferred Channel from the available choices, and then press the Enter button. You will hear your choice of the Channel.
Volume setup / TV on volume
- Press the Down arrow button, and when you hear Volume setup, press the Enter button.
- Press the Right arrow and Left arrow buttons to select your preferred volume number, and then press the Enter button.
Notes:
- Multiple settings are unavailable for the On timer function.
- The Reminder function can keep up to 18 TV programs.
