No sound comes from the rear speakers when a soundbar or home theater system is connected to the BRAVIA 3 TV

When using a soundbar or home theatre system in combination with the BRAVIA 3 TV, the following issues may occur:

    • If you play a surround sound source (such as a 5.1 channel) on your TV or a connected device, and then switch to a regular stereo (2-channel) source, the TV may continue to detect the source as surround sound. As a result, the rear speakers on your soundbar or home theatre system might not produce any sound.
Note: This issue occurs with both supplied speakers and optional ones.
    • If you are using a soundbar or home theatre system compatible with the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app, the display may not correctly show the playback of the stereo (2-channel) source on the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app.

If this happens, turn off the power of the BRAVIA 3 TV using the remote control, wait for 1 minute, and then turn it back on.
