Resolving red, green, or blue tint on BRAVIA LCD TVs

    If your BRAVIA TV screen appears to have a red, green, or blue tint, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.


    Step 1: Check the TV Menu

    Press the HOME button on your remote to display the BRAVIA TV menu.

    Scenario 1: The menu screen has the same colour tint issue

    Scenario 2: The menu screen does not have the same colour tint issue

    • This indicates that your TV is functioning correctly. The issue can likely be resolved by adjusting the picture settings to your preferences.


    Step 2: Adjusting Picture Settings

    You can fine-tune the picture settings to achieve the desired colour tone. Follow the steps below:

    Accessing Picture Settings

    1. Press the HOME button on your remote.
    2. Navigate to Settings and select Picture & Display using the Up/Down buttons, then press Enter.
    3. Select Picture Adjustments, then press Enter.
    4. Choose the item you want to adjust and press Enter to make changes.

    Picture Adjustment Options

    • Reset: Resets all Picture Adjustment settings to factory defaults (excluding Setting Memory, Picture Mode, and Advanced Settings).
    • Backlight: Adjusts the screen’s brightness. Lowering this can reduce power consumption.
    • Picture: Modifies picture contrast.
    • Brightness: Changes the overall brightness of the picture.
    • Colour: Adjusts colour intensity.
    • Hue: Balances green and red tones. (This option may vary depending on the colour system.)
    • Colour Temperature: Adjusts the whiteness of the picture. Options include:
      • Cool: Adds a bluish tint to white tones.
      • Neutral: Provides a balanced, neutral tint.
      • Warm 1/Warm 2: Adds a reddish tint, with Warm 2 being more intense.

    For detailed adjustments, use the White Balance option in Advanced Settings. Picture settings must be adjusted for each input source. To apply the same settings across multiple inputs:

    1. Set Target inputs to Common.
    2. Adjust picture settings.
    3. Ensure other input sources also have their Target inputs set to Common.
