Which types of 8K and 4K video signals are supported by Sony's Android TV or Google TV?

Before you start
To best enjoy the 8K/4K features of your TV, do the following:
- Always ensure you have the latest TV software update installed.
- Be sure to have a Premium High-Speed HDMI® cable (up to 18Gbps) when viewing 4K video content.
- Be sure to have an Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable (up to 48 Gbps) when viewing 8K and 4K/120 Hz video content.
Supported video signals per series
Depending on your TV, the supported types of video signals will differ.
IMPORTANT: Currently, the only 8K related products are the Z9K, Z9J, ZH8 and ZG9 series.
For 2024 Google TV™ models

Notes:
- Only the HDMI IN 4 terminal of the Z9K series supports the Display Stream Compression (DSC) function.
