(Wired) All connection diagnosis results are displayed as Failed

After performing a network diagnosis, the result may appear as:

  • Physical Connection: Failed
  • Local Access: Failed
  • Internet Access: Failed

NOTE: LAN cable may not be properly connected to the TV or the TV does not recognise the LAN cable.

Follow the troubleshooting steps below. Each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the network connection status after completing each step.

  1. Reset all of the network equipment, such as cable modem and router, by turning them off and unplugging them for 2 minutes.
  2. Connect the power cords of the modem and the router.
  3. Connect the TV power cord and turn on the power supply.
  4. Perform the connection diagnosis for the following TV models:

    For 2014 TV models:

    1. On the TV remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings located in the upper-right corner on the TV screen.
    3. Select Network.
    4. Select Network Setup.
    5. Select Wired Setup.
    6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

    For Android TVs:

    1. On the TV remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Under the Settings category, select Help.
    4. Under the Help category, select Internet connectivity symptoms.

  5. Make sure that the connection is active by disconnecting the Ethernet cable from the TV and attempting to access the Internet using a computer or similar device.
  6. Test by using a different working LAN cable.

    NOTE: If the issue is resolved, the LAN cable is defective.

  7. Connect the LAN cable to a different LAN port on the router.

    NOTE: If the issue is resolved, there was a problem in connection of the LAN cable or connection port of the router.
