Even when my IER-EX15C is connected to a smartphone, sound still comes from the smartphone's speaker

    Before you start

Some smartphones may require specific adjustments to properly connect to the headphones. Check and update your smartphone's settings as needed.

Hint: The names of the settings displayed on the connected smartphone may vary depending on the smartphone model (e.g., Detect USB device or Enable USB On-The-Go connection). For details, refer to your smartphone's operating instructions.

    Workaround

If there is no sound from your smartphone after changing its settings, or if you do not see any USB device-related options in the smartphone's Settings menu, check the following:

    1. Make sure the USB Type-C® plug is fully inserted into the smartphone's USB port.
Hint: If your smartphone has a protective case attached and the issue persists, remove the case and check the connection again.
    2. Check if the smartphone's audio output setting is set to the headphones.
    3. Disconnect the USB Type-C plug from the smartphone and reconnect it.
    4. Adjust the volume on both the headphones and the smartphone.
    5. Connect the USB Type-C plug directly to the smartphone, without using any conversion connectors.
