Thodoris Markou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He is well known in his hometown for his concert and portrait photography and his photographs have been published in various Greek magazines, newspapers and numerous websites. He was featured in a number of group exhibitions, as well as in two solo exhibitions during the 2012 & 2016 Athens Photo Festival editions - both of these exhibitions were centred around the symbiosis of humanity and nature, as presented on the rural landscapes of Greece. More recently he has been occupied with video production, as a freelance director and cinematographer in the advertising & corporate sector, while he still maintains a photography studio in downtown Athens.
