The Home button does not work on the remote after performing a software update
NOTE: This article is applicable for the following models - W75C, W80C, W85C, S80C, S85C, X80C, X83C, X85C, X90C, X91C, X93C, X94C, SD85, XD85, XD93 and XD94 Series.
You may be experiencing issues using the Home button on your remote, or accessing the home menu.
To resolve this issue, please try one of the following procedures.
Clear Cache:
- Press the Help button on the remote
- Navigate down to the Help Guide icon and press OK
- Navigate down to Settings and press OK
- Select Configuring the TV and press OK
- Select TV and press OK
- Navigate down and highlight the blue arrow shown at "Press the HOME button, then select [- >Settings]..." and press OK
- In this menu, navigate down and select Apps and press OK
- Select System software update (located on the second row named System app) and press OK
- Select Clear cache and press OK
Factory data reset:
NOTE: A factory reset will erase all your personal settings.
- Press the Help button on the remote
- Navigate down to the Help Guide icon and press OK
- Navigate down to Settings and press OK
- Select Configuring the TV and press OK
- Select TV and press OK
- Navigate down and highlight the blue arrow shown at "Press the HOME button, then select [-> Settings] …" and press OK
- Select Storage & reset and press OK
- Select Factory data reset and press OK
- Select Erase everything and press OK
