When updating the ILCE-9M3 and ILCE-1M2 to Ver. 4.00, the battery level display changes before and after the update.

Before the update, the remaining battery level indicator showed the percentage of remaining power relative to a fully charged battery.
For this reason, when the camera's power consumption was large, even if there was charge remaining, the camera shut itself off to prevent issues such as the loss of partially written files due to momentary power shortage.
In Ver. 4.00 and later, while the remaining battery level indicator still shows 100% when the battery is fully charged, the indicator has been changed to show approximately how much longer the camera can be used at the current rate of power consumption. This power consumption varies depending on the camera's settings, mode, media, and accessories used.
