The FR7 incorporates smooth pan, tilt and zoom0 functionality that can be remotely controlled, or recalled to preset positions. The pan angle range is from -170° to +170°, and the tilt angle range is from -30° to +195° when used in normal upright orientation.
The FR7 Ver.2.0 supports “free-d”0, that can output pan/tilt/zoom, focus and iris tracking information in conjunction with the synchronising signal. It is possible to connect the FR7 to VR/AR systems for video production, broadcasting, live events, etc., and easily build a system without an encoder.
Furthermore, from Ver.3.0, the free-d tracking data can now be outputted to up to four destinations.
In addition, offsets for the X, Y, and Z coordinates of the camera tracking data can be inputted as well, allowing for quick and accurate calibration between the real world and the virtual space.
The FR7 supports multi-camera production with just a small staff. A single RM-IP5000 remote control unit can be used for a setup of up to 100 FR7 cameras (10 groups of 10 cameras)1.

The supplied remote controller0, dedicated FR7 Web App and RM-IP5001 can remember up to 100 camera presets (camera direction, zoom and focus). Presets can be recalled at the touch of a button.
From Ver.3.0, during the playback of PTZ presets, it is now possible to use the Clear Image Zoom area for recall.
From Ver.3.0, during the playback of PTZ presets, it is now possible to specify not only the speed but also the movement time.
This makes it easier to coordinate the PTZ movements of the camera with sliders, dollies, totems, enabling a wide range of camera work as a system.
