How to enjoy 3D surround with the Neckband Speaker or Sony brand headphones for A95L series, BRAVIA 9 (XR90), BRAVIA 8 (XR80), BRAVIA 7 (XR70)

By pairing the Wireless Neckband Speaker (SRS-NS7 or BRAVIA Theatre U) or Sony brand headphones to your TV, you can enjoy the realistic sound of the 3D surround with the Neckband Speaker or headphones.
In addition, you can use the data regarding the shape of your ear with a compatible app to help you enjoy more immersive and optimized 3D surround effects.

1. Before you start
- For compatible Sony brand headphones, check the following: https://www.sony.net/tr_comp_tvhp
- For SRS-NS7 users: No need to connect the transmitter that came with the Neckband Speaker, or the wireless transmitter (WLA-NS7). If the transmitter is connected, the TV screen will prompt you to disconnect the transmitter. After disconnecting the transmitter, connect the speaker and TV via Bluetooth.
2. How to set up more immersive 3D surround settings on the TV
Just by pairing the wireless neckband speaker or Sony brand headphones to your TV, 3D Surround is added to the quick settings, and you can enjoy standard 3D surround without any special settings. To enjoy a more immersive 3D surround, check the following.
To set more immersive 3D surround settings:
IMPORTANT:- To set up a more immersive 3D surround, you need to sign in to Sony's Cloud Service for Home Entertainment & Sound Products.
- Connect to the Internet in advance to adjust the settings.
- On the screen displayed after the pairing, select Next. You will see a settings screen to enjoy a more immersive 3D surround.
Note: The headphone model name or device name is displayed.
- Select Optimise now to continue setting up a more immersive 3D surround.
Note: You can also adjust this setting later. In that case, select Not now. If you would like to set it later, please refer to the To set 3D surround settings later.
- Prepare a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.
Note: If the account selection screen appears, select the account to use and follow the instructions on the screen.
- After signing in, install the dedicated 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app, and follow the instructions on the screen of the app to take pictures of your ears on your mobile device. When the measurement is completed, the TV screen will switch automatically.
- After completing the settings, select Play demo to start the demo.
To set the immersive 3D surround settings later, or to make additional settings with another account:
A more immersive 3D surround setting can be made later, or additional settings can be made in another account. Check the following for the procedure.
- On the TV remote control, press the
Quick Settings button.
- Select
Settings.
- Select Display & Sound → Audio output → Bluetooth device settings → 3D surround device settings → Hearing profile.
- Select Add.
- Select Next and follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Enjoy 3D surround
You can enjoy 3D surround using the Neckband Speaker or headphones.
Note: 3D surround cannot be used when sound is output from both neckband speakers or headphones and the TV speakers or audio system.
How to stop 3D surround:
Turn off the Neckband Speaker or headphones, or turn off the 3D surround from the Quick Settings. 3D surround ends and the TV outputs sound.
How to restart 3D surround:
To use the Neckband Speaker or headphones again, on the TV remote control press the Quick Settings button and turn on 3D surround.
Note: If the TV already has the 3D surround turned on, you can enjoy the 3D surround by turning on the Neckband speaker or headphones. If you can't start 3D surround after turning on the Neckband speaker or headphones, turn on 3D surround.
