How do I use Google Cast on Sony's Android TV or Google TV?

1. Ensure your phone and Android TV/Google TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. 
2. Open the app you want to cast content from.
3. In the app, find and select Cast . If the app can be cast, the casting logo will be visible in the corner. 
4. Tap cast and your device will provide a list of available devices. Select the name of your TV.
5. When Cast  changes colour, you’re successfully connected, and the content should be displayed on your TV screen. You can control playback from your phone. 
6. To stop casting on your device, select Cast  Disconnect.

1. Launch the Google Chrome browser.
2. Click the More icon on the upper right corner of the Chrome browser.
3. Click Cast...

   

   Once Cast... is clicked, the cast icon appears next to the More icon, and a Cast To window will appear.

   
   
   When casting websites or via apps, tap the Cast icon on the app or the website.
    
4. Select your TV model.

   

   The Google Cast icon located on the top right corner of the Chrome browser will appear in blue  once it successfully connected to the TV.

5. When you've finished, to the right of the address bar, click the Cast icon — Stop.

You can also display your entire computer screen using the Chrome browser on a Mac, Windows or Chromebook computer.
To hear audio on your TV, use a Windows computer.

1. Launch the Google Chrome browser.
2. Click the Moreicon on the upper right corner of the Chrome browser.
3. Click Cast...

   

   Once Cast... is clicked, the cast icon appears next to the More icon, and a Cast To window will appear.
    
4. Select the TV model.

   

5. Select Cast desktop.

6. On Share your entire screen setting, click the screen image to share, tick share audio.
   Alternatively, you can select Stream a video or audio file, click Cast file if you want to cast a file. 

7. Click Share.

1. Open the folder where the audio or video file is located.
2. Follow these steps depending on the media you want to cast.
   • For audio or video files: Right-click on the file.
   • For a folder of images: Right-click on the folder.
3. Navigate to Cast to Device and select the TV. The file will play or, if a folder is selected, a slideshow will start playing.
